Fort Collins Senior Photographer / Natalie's Horsetooth and Hammock session - Rocky Mountain Hig

Outdoor sessions are by far my favorite and in my option the most interesting subject matter. There is something magical about incorporating natural elements into a photo like natural textures and lighting. But sometimes Colorado decides to be temperamental and make things a challenge. One common question I get asked is…

“What happens if the weather is bad the day of my session”?

I GOT YOU!

We will always have a back up plan. I watch the weather like no meteorologist business! If the weather is looking like it will not cooperate, I call it 2 to 3 hours before your session to save you the headache of getting all ready for nothing and we plan a reschedule date.

Occasionally we get a spell of very unpredictable weather. And that’s what happened with Natalie’s session. We decided to wait it out until we had a good forecast and we couldn’t be more pleased with how the sessions went.

Natalie wanted her senior vibe to be fun, chill and reflect her personality. One of Natalie’s favorite things to do is lounge around in her hammock playing the day away on her ukulele. I love these cute shots of her just being herself, enjoying life.

We even included her adorable pup in a few of the shots.

The second location Natalie wanted a fall vibe with cozy sweaters, pumpkins and a sunflower field. We found the perfect location thanks to my good friends at Bartels Farm in Fort Collins.
