Meet Lilly a senior at Windsor Charter Academy High School. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Lilly now for a few years so I was over the moon excited when she booked her senior session with me over the summer. There are many sides to this beautiful girl, she is a little county, a little rock and a whole lot of classy. First, we decided on the perfect location near the Fort Collins Colorado Foothills with rustic barns, fences, open fields and the dreamiest sunset light. During her consultation we planned every outfit so that we could coordinate the look of hair and makeup that would complement each of her looks.
For the first look Lilly wanted to incorporate her love for rock music by choosing her two favorite bands, Gun’s N Roses and Metallica. She chose her favorite t-shirts, a pair of shredded ripped jeans and paired it with a leather jacket.
Lilly’s second look was to showcase her feminine, classy side. Nothing is better than a pretty girl in a pretty dress in a field with sunshine and mountains all around.
My favorite part of Lilly’s session was saved for the end when she wanted that all American country girl look with the American Flag. We blasted her favorite country music and she was all smiles as she twirled and posed with the flag. Lilly wanted to bring in a special memory from her mother who had passed away. She wore a necklace with a paw print pendant to honor her mother. It was such a sweet moment to capture this for her and one I will not forget.
The cherry on top was earlier in the year Lilly job shadowed me for a location scout in and around Down Town Fort Collins. We got creative and played around with some twinkle lights just for the heck of it. It was such a joy to photograph Lilly and share in a small piece of her senior year.
